Crush is a delightfully addictive puzzle game with a rich storyline. It’s rare that a game can make you feel so invested right from the get-go.

The death of a loved one is a recurring theme in Crush It With Matt, and it’s handled with such sensitivity that it doesn’t feel like a heavy handed subject. The way that the characters deal with grief, whether they are in mourning or trying to move on, is very moving and thought provoking.
The story opens with Matt watching his mother die, and it’s clear that he is still very much in a state of shock. He’s not sleeping at all, and his friends have a hard time understanding what is happening. He feels completely lost, and he’s not sure how to explain to them that his mom is dead and that he is in mourning.
After the loss of his mother, Matt becomes obsessed with death and has a difficult time coping with his daily life. He begins to lose interest in his classes and becomes depressed. He starts to think that high school is trivial and useless. He also finds it difficult to talk with his father about what happened and how he’s feeling.
This leads to his joining the “Minus-One Club” where he meets a group of people who are going through similar things as him. The members of the club are a mix of all different types, and they help him to see that there is more than just sadness in this world.
Kermit is a fellow member of the club and his positive outlook on life helps to cheer Matt up. He tells him that he has to start learning how to laugh again, and it does help. But it is hard for him to do, especially when he thinks of all the terrible things that have happened to him.
The last scene in the book is very powerful. When it’s over, you will be left with a better understanding of how to handle grief and a sense that there is beauty in this world after all. The world may not look as colorful or fast-paced as it once was, but there is beauty hidden in the faded colors of everyday life.
The Relationship Between Matt and Mr. Ray
After Matt’s mother dies, he has trouble fitting into high school. He misses weeks of classes and spends the rest of the year caring for her body in the funeral home. He feels he has no one to talk to about his grief. His father is lost in alcohol, and his other friends treat him differently because they don’t know how to respond. Matt wants to make good grades so he can get a scholarship and leave his impoverished Brooklyn neighborhood for college, but he’s tired of being ignored.
His best friend, Chris, tries to help. Then he meets Mr. Ray, the owner of the funeral home where he works. When Mr. Ray finds out that Matt has been struggling, he offers him a job. He doesn’t need him to touch the dead, but he does need him to work with mourners and prepare meals. Matt accepts the job and wears his black suit to class.
At work, he finds comfort in seeing other people’s reactions to loss. At funerals, he looks for the person closest to the deceased and tries to cheer them up. He also enjoys sitting in on services, even if he doesn’t know the deceased.
While Matt has been successful at his new job, he still struggles with his own grief and loneliness. He is able to connect with Lovey, a young woman who has been through more tragedy than him. She shows him another way of living and grieving.
Reynolds has written a thoughtful and moving novel. The characters are believable and well-developed, from the teenage honor roll student to the elderly gang member. He captures the culture of Bed-Stuy in canny depictions of race and class. His use of vernacular is also impressive, though some readers may find it difficult to understand. This is a novel that everyone should read. It’s honest and unflinching, but it is also uplifting and inspiring. I look forward to future works from this talented author. I give it a four stars out of five.
The Relationship Between Matt and Laura
Matt and Laura have been together for years now, and they’ve learned a lot about what it takes to make their relationship work. They believe that one of the most important things is drive and positivity.
The couple first met in preschool when they were both three years old, and they were inseparable from that point on. In fact, Matt once told the class that he knew who he would marry someday: Laura.
After graduating from high school, they each went to their respective colleges — Matt stayed in Arizona for college and attended NAU while Laura moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College. Although they were 1,500 miles apart, they decided to make it work by keeping in touch with each other through social media and FaceTime, and they tried not to let long stretches of time without seeing each other derail their relationship. They even got a tattoo together that reads “Stronger Together” to remind them of their commitment to each other.
Although they missed each other a lot during the first year of their long-distance relationship, they didn’t want to waste any time making up for lost time. So, they made a pact to always talk every day and keep in touch, even when they were busy with their schoolwork or training for dance competitions. They also made sure to schedule a weekly date night, watch Friends together on Netflix, and take each other out to their favorite restaurants for special treats.
While they were able to maintain their long-distance relationship with their commitment to each other and determination to not let distance get in the way, it still wasn’t easy. The longest stretch they went without seeing each other was 20 weeks, and that was a hard milestone to overcome. However, their drive and positive attitude got them through that difficult time, and they were able to see each other again soon after.
In addition to their daily phone calls, they also plan frequent trips back to Arizona to spend time with each other. They love doing activities like hiking, cooking and playing with their new dog, Kirby. They’re also huge baseball fans and enjoy watching the Diamondbacks play. In the future, they hope to start a family of their own one day.
The Relationship Between Matt and Paige
Despite the tragedy of her mother’s death, Paige (Rowan Blanchard) seems to be living a pretty good life. With her art school dreams in full swing, platonic soulmate Dillon (Tyler Alvarez), and an openly sex-positive mother (Megan Mullally) that gives her edibles and glow-in-the-dark dental dams, Paige has a lot going for her. But, as she demonstrates in one of the more memorable scenes in the film, she can also be pretty bad at handling her emotions.
Matt, on the other hand, has a hard time keeping his feelings in check. He wears black suits to work at the funeral home—not because he’s mourning his mom, but because it pays better than working at the Cluck Bucket. He’s also got a side hustle selling memory upgrades to people with outdated tech, and his clients often take advantage of him.
But he’s also a genuinely nice guy who would do anything for his friends, and he always wants the best for them. He’s impulsive and sometimes acts before he thinks, but his instinct to help people out makes him a true friend. He’s also good at thinking on his feet and coming up with solutions.
The best part about Matt and Paige’s relationship is how they help each other out when things get rough. They’re both pretty tough, but they have their own weaknesses. They learn from each other, and they support each other when their lives spin out of control.
In some ways, this is a classic story about two teenagers finding each other and helping each other through difficult times. It’s a little bit of a cliche, but it’s still a very sweet film that you should see. Plus, the cast is excellent. The actors do a great job of conveying their characters’ emotions, and the supporting players are wonderful as well. The soundtrack is also great, and the music fits the movie perfectly. It’s a great film that everyone should see.
